"spent years learning how to build things that stand up. This painting is about the things that spill over. It is an exploration of the energy that cannot be contained by a blueprint." -- Adriano Prates

"I brought this piece into the House because it feels like a release. After all the order and geometry of his other works, this explosion of color represents the breaking point—the moment where the 'plan' is abandoned in favor of pure feeling. It is a reminder that the most beautiful things in life are rarely the ones we engineer; they are the ones that just happen." -- Pedro
Adriano Prates (Lisbon, 1977) works in Lisbon, went through the Arte Ilimitada school, and completed the Drawing and Painting course at Ar.Co in Lisbon. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
